A good album with some great songs like 5 Will Get You Six, Underground, Rose-Coloured Glasses and probably the most known from this album Try
The Blues Project was an American Band from '65 -'67 playing psychedelic, progressive blues based music. With a talented group of musicians who went on to successful careers on their own, recording, producing and as session musicians. Al Kooper, Roy Blumenfeld, Danny Kalb, Tommy Flanders, Steve Katz, Andy Kulberg of The Blues Project, is a compilation album of songs from their first three albums; released in 1969 on Verve/Forecast FST-3069. Here is their cover of a Jimmy Reed song Caress Me Baby:
I like this '81 release, Fire of Unknown Origin much better, with songs like Burnin' For You, Sole Survivor & Joan Crawford, this is certainly a more varied album, and I would suspect more in line with the style of this successful band.
As you can see from this video, the record is badly warped. This is were a record clamp or weight is a huge asset; without the clamp, this record would be unplayable because of the skipping.
